The teaser for Justin Bierber's “What Do You Mean?” music video premiered on Friday afternoon, just hours after the song’s debut.
As Gossip Cop has reported, “What Do You Mean?” is Bieber’s first solo single in several years. He’s spent the last month hyping it as a “comeback,” and word leaked that the video would star Playboy model Xenia Deli. But, as it turns out, Bieber has also enlisted actor John Leguizamo.
Like the superstar’s video for “As Long As You Love Me,” Bieber has chosen to go the short film route. With the help of director Brad Furman, the “What Do You Mean?” video looks to be a mini-movie. And though a mere 15 seconds is viewable so far, a lot is revealed.
Not surprisingly, Bieber and Deli are seen half-naked and kissing in bed together. But the singer also apparently gets kidnapped by masked men, and a gunshot rings out. It honestly isn’t clear, though, if Leguizamo is meant to be the villain.
The video will premiere in full at 11 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Just before that, Bieber will be performing “What Do You Mean?” live for the first time on the MTV Video Music Awards. Check out the teaser below, and tell us what you think.
